About the event
Seeger: An Inconvenient Folksinger is an award-winning, critically acclaimed multimedia solo show about America's beloved folksinger, Pete Seeger. Spend an evening with Pete as he plays a benefit concert advocating the end of the U.S.-Cuban trade embargo, where he uses a dozen of his signature songs, including "If I Had a Hammer," "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?," "Turn! Turn! Turn!," “We Shall Overcome," and "Guantanamera" to tell the story of his awakening as an activist and his struggles with being blacklisted during the McCarthy-era.
This performance is presented by St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church and the Mary Whittle Concert Series. Tickets are $20 each and may be purchased through St. Thomas’s Paypal (please indicate that you are purchasing a ticket for the Mary Whittle Concert Series). Cash and check are accepted in advance through the parish office or at the door.
