The Good Friday liturgy is one of the most ancient and compelling services we have in the church year. When we recite the Solemn Collects, we are joining with our oldest sisters and brothers, the Saints of God, who have been praying these prayers for centuries. The service is a solemn, moving and dignified liturgy in which we acknowledge the brokenness of our world on this most sorrowful night. But even as we mourn, we live into the knowledge of what is to come, the resurrection and the renewal of hope for us all. The Good Friday service begins at 7:00 and we walk the Stations of the Cross before the service, starting at 6:00.
