Sunday Evenings at St. Thomas

St. Thomas invites you to our more casual 5:30 pm Holy Eucharist services.

Please see below for the schedule of services and descriptions, and see you there!

2nd & 4th Sundays - Taizé Service

The 5:30 pm service on second & fourth Sundays uses music from the Taizé tradition. The music emphasizes simple phrases, usually lines from Psalms or other pieces of Scripture, repeated and sometimes also sung in canon. Here's a great article from Richard Rohr about Finding Presence through Taizé music and chant. The service will include the Eucharist. Following the service every second Sunday, we enjoy a meditative sound bath with singing bowls. After the service on fourth Sundays, we have a short practice of gentle yoga

3rd Sundays - Recovery Holy Eucharist

On each third Sunday, we will be offering a “12-step Eucharist” as our 5:30 “Come as You Are” service. We welcome anyone to join us, whether they are involved in any way with the recovery community or not. The service incorporates the twelve steps of recovery into the
liturgy and offers an opportunity to celebrate recovery and to offer prayers for those who need or are seeking companionship and support on their journey. Hope to see you there!
