Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry at St. Thomas' is built upon the four areas of study, worship, service and fellowship. 

We believe that you can't just hire someone to lead the youth ministry; because of the baptismal vows we have taken and that we reaffirm every time we attend another baptism, we all promise to uphold each child in their life in Christ. So ministry with youth is the task of the whole parish -- not just one person!

So, St. Thomas is transitioning to a new way of doing ministry with young people: teams of adult parishioners have committed to an area of youth ministry for this spring. Those teams meet regularly for prayerful reflection and planning, finding ministry with youth to be a key part of their own spiritual growth. 

We hired a new Minister for Youth in the fall of 2012, someone who will support the Youth Ministry Teams in their work, and help to keep our fabulous young people connected and integrated into the life of the parish. Click here to read more about Mr. Darren Steadman!
