Serve in Parish Life

Annual Auction: You can support St. Thomas’ by serving on the Auction Committee, or by assisting the auction committee members in their preparation, set-up or clean up for the event.

Coffee Hour: Set up, serve, and clean up the weekly coffee hour or support the host by providing goodies to serve.

Supper Clubs: Participate with other parishioners for monthly potluck meals at each others’ homes. Hosting in one’s own home is not required to participate. Groups are reorganized annually.

Property Assistance: Do you have “fix-it” skills? Sign up to work on St. Thomas’ “fix-it” list around the church property.

Hospitality: Assist with special brunches, dinners, and receptions by providing food, decorating, setting up, and cleaning up.

OystoberFest: Volunteer to help with this annual fundraising event which features oysters, music, and fun! Learn more at http://oystoberfest.com/.

Newcomers: Volunteer to contact, welcome, and help nurture new members to our parish.

Mens Corps: Supports ministry at St. Thomas’ with fundraising and fellowship.

Young-ish Adults Events: Sign up to coordinate, assist with, and participate in young adult gatherings and projects at St. Thomas.

Office Support: Volunteer as receptionist for the church office or to assist with clerical work, including special mailings.

Landscaping Ministry: Work to beautify the landscape, gardens, and yard of the church building.

Fall Line Farms Site Volunteer: Serve once a month as a volunteer in the Thursday Fall Line Farms pick up. Staff a 2 – 3 hour shift once a month to facilitate the participant food pick up. A free Fall Line Farms membership is provided for volunteers.

Women of St. Thomas’: Help with Yard Sale and Presale Treasure Event by selling tickets, wine and cheese refreshments and assisting in sales.
