June Hardy Dorsey serves as Assistant Rector, working in all areas of parish ministry.   June feels called by God to integrate faith development into the whole life of the parish. She was initially drawn to St. Thomas’ Church because of its community outreach.  Her particular area of interest is in the “education of the heart” as well as the mind and helping children, youth and adults develop as intelligent, caring, believing and generous people.

She is married to David Hardy Dorsey . They have one son, Jake, who is a student at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. June has been involved in curriculum development and design for much of her professional career. She spent the first eighteen years of her life in Japan before coming to the US for university studies. She has a BA in Education with an Early Childhood Emphasis, and an MDiv in Theology.
