Who Is A Sunday School Teacher?
Children's Ministries: Children's Ministry at St. Thomas' is built around Sunday School, Lenten Programs, Church Seasonal Celebration and Children's Time during the adult sermon in worship
Youth Ministries and Youth Group Activities: The Youth Ministry at St. Thomas' is built upon the four areas of study, worship, service and fellowship.
Coffee and Conversation for Adults: Sunday Christian Education for adults at St. Thomas' takes the form of a discussion group that covers a different topic each week, usually based on a partcular theme for each Sunday. Led by area speakers, lay leaders in the church, and staff, this is a time of extra study and focus upon the Christian life.
Explorer's Class: This class is offered once a year before the Bishop's Visitation for any adults interested in exploring their faith and meeting others who are likewise embarked on this exploration. The class meets once a week for six consecutive weeks, and everyone is welcome; those asking hard questions about their faith; those seeking to know more about the Christian faith, the Episcopal Church, or Saint Thomas; those seeking renewal of their faith. It is required for baptism as an adult, confirmation or reception into the Episcopal Church and for a formal re-affirmation of faith.
Book Groups: Opportunities to enroll in six week courses to study a particular book of the Bible or a book of interest are offered throughout the year. These groups usually meet in the evening.
Young Women's Study and Prayer Group "Sisters in Christ" : Meets weekly during the day from September through May for Bible study, prayer and fellowship.
Education for Ministry: St. Thomas' hosts an EFM group. This is a study group meeting once a week fro three eyars to provide adults with a more in depth study of faith and theology. St. Thomas' Group is in its second year.
