Toiletry items for Food Pantry- As you go on vacation this summer and stay in a variety of hotel/motels pick up the small travel toiletry items offered to you. We are adding them to the food pantry bags and the recipients are VERY grateful. Every little bit helps.

Do you remember your first day of school?  Help kids focus on learning, not worrying about having shoes to wear or supplies for the classroom...  Volunteer for the YMCA Bright Beginnings program.  It's free, easy and fun!  Shop with a child on Wednesday, August 25th from 5:30 - 9:30 pm at a local Target.  Volunteer forms will be available in the Parrish Hall on Sunday.  Can't be there?  Would still like to help?  Monetary donations accepted, just write a check to St. Thomas' and put "Bright Beginnings" in the memo.  Contact Stacy Hull (stacy@parkerhouseinteriors.com) or Anne Chamberlain (annerc@comcast.net) for more info.

Middle and high school youth are invited to help prepare and serve food and also provide musical entertainment for the Emmaus Ministry of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Downtown Richmond on Thursday, August 19th from 9:30-1 pm. This program has served lunch to the homeless, needy, and working poor for over 25 years, and serves over 200 people each week. Please email Carolina ASAP if you're interested in volunteering.
