Sunday School

At St. Thomas' Sunday School is:

  • a place where life issues are explored in light of the Christian faith.
  • where the Bible is studied with a design for understanding and relevance.
  • where one can develop caring relationships with friends and leaders
  • where one has an opportunity to learn and practice Christian mission service.
  • where one has an opportunity to learn about and participate in the Christian liturgical seasons.

Sunday School meets from 10:15 - 10:50 am on most Sundays during the program year (mid-Sept. through May).  Sundays when Sunday School does not meet because of Parish-wide programs are shown on the Parish Calendar

The Preschool Class is for children age 3 1/2 through kindergarten and meets in the Day School wing classroom.  This class uses Weaving God's Promises curriculum and has a Godly Play lesson each month.

The Elementary Age class is for children grades 1 - 4 and meets in classrooms on the second floor above the Parish Hall.  At times this class is divided into two classes to accommodate the wide age range.  This class uses Weaving God's Promises curriculum and has a Godly Play lesson each month.

The Youth Class is for youth grades 5 - 9 and uses curricula including Nooma videos. It meets in Room 100 in the Administration Wing.  Youth grades 10 - 12 are invited to Coffee and Conversation as well as group meetings at times other than Sunday morning.
